So I find it interesting the take that humans generally have on spirituality, the occult, rituals, paranormal things, etc. I have to give humankind credit, they have a lot of it right in a lot of ways. But some things... they just don't seem to get. I guess it's got to do with what you've seen, what you've experienced. What you understand. Humans naturally fear that which they don't understand, it's a simple defense mechanism. It's the same way I was ostracized and treated as a child because I wasn't like other normal human children. I guess it's things like that that make one turn TOWARDS that which makes them different.
Sure, there are things all around us, all the time. It's only a matter of being able to perceive them and recognize them for what they are. And in a way, the idea of staying away from rituals and other such things is probably good. Not because those things in and of themselves are evil or bad, but because they're just like any other spell that you might cast. There is far more to them than just the words and the motions. You have to understand the workings of any ritual or spell before you meddle with it. That's how people get into trouble, honestly. It's like picking up a gun and hopping into the middle of a war without ever going through any sort of training. Sure, you've got the weapon, and you probably know how to work it. But that won't do you a lot of good if you don't know all the OTHER stuff to do.
Oh, but stay away from Ouija boards. Those are bad. It's kind of neat though, to be actually getting a chance to talk to people about this sort of thing. I'm not really a recluse about it, and if someone confronts me with it I don't deny my abilities. But neither is it something that I publicize. Either way, it's just... nice.
